Welcome To Reiki 2
I hope that you have had a fun time with the introduction to Reiki one and Reiki energy. It is a good time to reflect how you have felt after your first attunment. Have things been different in your life? Have you had warm hands? Do you have more of an urge to share the energy with others and also to help yourself? In Reiki two you will recieve another attunment as a sort of level up. We will also introduce the magical symbols and their uses. This level includes the symbol and “how to’s” of sending long distance healing.
Reiki is a powerful modality of receiving and sending universal energy. I also want to stress that you do not “need” the second attunment to send healing energy or perform healing session to someone who is not in your direct vacinity. We are energetic beings; time and space, with the right mindset, cannot get in the way of seeing, hearing, feeling at a distance. But… it does help to clear the way in both what you believe you can do and leveling up.

3 symbols will be introduced for this level of Reiki. Reiki one is designed to introduce you to the energy of Reiki and to practice it in a simple way on yourself and those around you. You may have begin to see little things happening, such as; warm hands, intuitive hits, hearing messages while working with Reiki energy. If this is happening for you, just know that it is very normal and helpful for your own development and to deliver information to the person you may be delivering Reiki to.
As you begin to play with these symbols, it is very helpful to follow the lines above and practice on a piece of paper to memorize the lines and feeling of each one.
You may have question about how much to communicate to the person that you are working with. It is always good to ask them if they are open to messages. Then within your comfort zone let yourself talk about what you are seeing. It will help you build your confidence around your accuracy.
Here is some helpful information about the new symbols:
Choku Rei: https://ihreiki.com/blog/the_hidden_meaning_of_the_first_symbol/?v=7516fd43adaa
Sei He Ki: https://ihreiki.com/blog/desire_for_happiness_-_insights_into_sei_heki/?v=7516fd43adaa
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen: https://ihreiki.com/blog/hon-sha-ze-sho-nen-right-mind/?v=7516fd43adaa
The deepest usage of all 3 symbols with in the level is to surrender to returning to your natural state. They can be used to meditate and initiate a surrender to your essence, releasing habits that do not suit you and to allow the natural flow of things without clinging. They are also used to draw on the backs of your hands (with your imagination) to begin your practice (Cho Ku Rei), to bring emotional easing (Sei He Ki) and to send long distance healing (Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen).
The symbols all are a vehicle to bring you to the 5 precepts of Reiki:
Just for today….
Do not anger
Do not worry
Be grateful
Be true to yourself
Be compassionate to yourself and others
To deliver a Reiki treatment using the symbols:
If you are sending long distance healing you will draw the symbol on the back of your hands with the intention of sending Reiki to your receiving person.
You will start each hand placement with imagining Choku Rei on the back of your hand 3x’s. You can also imagine the symbol across their body. Then if you are aware already or “feel” that they may need emotional/mental healing, you can also use the Sei He Ki symbol.
Spending a bit of time clicking the above links for each symbol is well worth a deeper understanding of each symbol. The website is also chalk full of great Reiki information.

How To See How The Energy Is Moving Within Your Chakras
To get the sense of how easy it is to experience the wonder of seeing your energy in action, you can use a pendulum or even a small object on a string. Take your thing on a string and hold the object about 3 inches over your open palm.
Do the following things:
Relax and let the energy of your palm (hand chakra) start to move the object. The more relaxed you are the more it will show you at the beginning. This is a passive exercise. You will try to keep your mind out of it beyond just being curious about what will happen. Our palms have chakra energy centers and should create a vortex that will propel your object to move on its own within the vortex of energy. It is important to allow your mind to relax around it to prevent your thinking from influencing the movement. The more you can stay out of it, the more of a result you may have.
The next step will be: While still holding the string and object over your palm start to imagine the energy swirling in your palm. Remember it is the energy you want to move not the object. It will move itself in the energy. Once you start to get the hang of it, you can go back and forth and stop it too. Just play and see what you can make it do. With this exercise you are thinking about what you want to see happen. You can practice imagining the energy moving. To me it sort of feel like I am stirring it with my mind. Once you get the feeling of it, it becomes very easy. Keep working on it!
