This happens to us all. We think we have done the work.
We think we have let go of the old grouchy, crying, angry, pitiful, jealous, cringy responses that happen when we are triggered. But then.... Something happens and we are crying, yelling, withdrawing, manipulating, whatever that old response we have is. I have been working for a long time to understand how to put to bed my own old programming and replace it with new healthier responses. I have had some really wonderful results. It's not that I don't still feel it or have some kind of response. But, I am more aware that it is happening so I can check myself. It's like a loved one that dies, the mourning process takes time to do it properly. First there is a big reaction, next its not so strong and finally you can be at peace with your feelings, knowing why you feel that way and responding with understand and love. This next question may be, How do I change my reactions in a way that I eventually do not even remember that I should be reacting? That is where this workshop comes in. I have created a step by step process to evaluate old, still present beliefs that create the response trigger, then using the information that you find, creating a new belief that is up to date with your present situation. Then together we will use imagery to embed the more compassionate belief into our daily lives that will result in a more comfortable compassionate life. Even though our triggers my result in making those outside of ourselves uncomfortable with our responses, ultimately it is within us that suffers the most when we are emotionally triggered.
